New to Climbing?
Here’s all the information you will need to get yourself started climbing here at Boulder Central.
Climbing shoes are required to participate. Don’t worry if you don’t own any though as we can rent them out to you! Just let us know when you check in (£3.50 hire charge).
Over 18’s will need to complete the Adult Registration form before attending any climbing sessions. This form must also be completed even if an adult is only acting as a supervisor.
Under 18’s will need to be supervised by a registered climber at all times when climbing and will require a Parental Consent form completed by a parent/legal guardian. (Supervision must be provided at a maximum of 1 adult to 2 Under 18’s)
If you are aged 14-17 then you can also climb unsupervised! We just need you and your parent/legal guardian to fill out the 14-17 Competent Climber waiver here at Boulder Central.
All unsupervised participants (climbers who have completed the Adult Registration or 14-17 Competent Climber waiver) are required to pay a £3 annual registration fee. This will be charged on the day of your first visit when you arrive.

Book onto one of our instructor-led inductions!
45 minutes of instructed coaching to teach you the basics of climbing safely and efficiently, including your shoe hire, annual registration fee and further climbing after your induction. All this for just £22.50 per person!
If you are between 14 and 17 years and wanting an induction, a parent or legal guardian must be present.
